C G Fry and Son Ltd is carrying out an online public consultation to seek the views of community representatives and local residents on our draft proposals to deliver to around 75 new homes at land north and south of Burton Road, Bridport. In addition to open market and affordable housing, the remainder of the development will include large areas of public open space.

This consultation describes the proposed development, its background and planning policy context. There is an acute need for new housing both nationally and locally, in part as a result of the lack of supply over the past 50 years. There are currently almost 7,000 households in Dorset on the housing register, of which almost 10% have a local connection or preference for homes in Bridport.
