Paula Carney was the planning project manager for the Bristol and Bath Science Park in South Gloucestershire.  Paula acted on behalf of the Quantum Property Partnership.  The project was of regional significance and therefore was promoted through regional planning policy, regional transport policy and local planning policy.  It is strategically located in relation to the highway network and incorporated initiatives to encourage access other than by the private car.  The work involved the delivery of commercial and business development across 25 hectares, involving the management of a large multi-disciplinary team.  The issues involved included protected ecological species, historic landscaping, listed buildings, coal mining seams, an SSSI, the incorporation of innovative sustainability and energy measures, high quality design and delivery.  Planning permission was successfully granted in 2016.
