Emma Fortune leads the multi-disciplinary team involved in this hybrid, cross boundary planning application, which includes co-ordinating an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the residential development of up to 250 units on an existing brownfield site. A key component of the scheme involves the replacement of an existing road bridge which represents a principal route between Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan, which has fallen into a state of disrepair. The site itself is located on a river frontage and contains a number of constraints including HSE Consultation Zone, Grade II* Listed bridge, Scheduled Ancient Monument, protected species and Ancient Woodland. Emma has been working closely with Officer's from both Vale of Glamorgan and Cardiff Councils in order to achieve a positive result.
