Celebrating our Achievement

Here at CarneySweeney the whole team is passionate about planning. Being so enthusiastic about our work, naturally we are delighted when our projects are recognised by the wider planning and real estate community. Here are some of our projects that have been nominated for and won recent awards this summer.

Brent Cross Town Electrical Sub-Station

The Brent Cross Town Electrical Sub-Station comprises an electrical substation wrapped innovatively in a piece of public art at a huge scale, serving a large urban regeneration project which focusses both on sustainability and the local community. The vast scale of the artwork, at its highest point, is taller than the Angel of the North, and is in a prominent location to be seen from rail and road. Its colour and dynamism will inspire and motivate, whilst effectively concealing an otherwise utilitarian piece of vital infrastructure.

Poplar Riverside, E14

The Poplar Riverside masterplan comprises up to 2,800 new homes, c.10,000 sqm mixed commercial/leisure and community uses and a 1 hectare public park. It promotes the future use of the river and open space for commuting, exercising and socialising through the provision of key connections and a new continuous 500m riverside walk. The proposal for increased landscaping and open space on site will see an overall net increase in biodiversity compared to existing site conditions. The masterplan aims to help address the isolation and absence of connectivity within the area. This will facilitate new routes to homes, open space, jobs and amenities; as well as to surrounding destinations and transport links, in line with the residential growth of the area.
