CarneySweeney secured approval for a Section 73 application to an Outline Permission and subsequent Reserved Matters approval for 52 affordable and low carbon homes in Plymouth. Working with our clients, CarneySweeney advised on a comprehensive planning strategy that sought to amend the existing Outline Permission for the site to remain viable and deliverable. By progressing both Section 73 and non-material amendments to the existing Outline consent, CarneySweeney then secured Reserved Matters approval for the 100% affordable housing development.
By engaging early with the Local Planning Authority in pre-app discussions, the planning strategy was clearly articulated and issues were resolved swiftly. The development will provide much needed affordable homes for the city of Plymouth which has struggled in recent years to meet the growing demand for affordable housing.
